When pulling away on gravel or slippery surface there is a loud knocking from rear wheels, more noticeable when pulling out of left or right junctions from standstill. Problem was worse on gravel and uphill, when driving normally no noise. Car is a 2015 autobiography dynamic on 22" rims, as its not all the time it's not bushes, arms or CV joints I don't think. Dealers under warranty said it was tank slap🙄 I'm thinking more like dsc or traction control etc
but thought you experienced lot would maybe know what this may be......thank you.

I have a similar issue with my MY14.5 AB. When pulling away with the steering wheel turned, the rear diff seems to bind and cause a slight judder.

I have only just got the car and it has different make tyres front and back (all the same tread depth) so that could be a cause. Alternatively, I've seen the same issue reported on FFRR (google "Judder") and they reported that there is a known TSB and that a double-flush of the transfer box and reprogramming of the traction control resolves it.

My car is going into the dealer next Tuesday and so I am going to ask them if they know. If they want lots to investigate, I'll take it to the local LR specialist.

Hi guys, so was your problem intermittent, how would I tell if that is the problem other than paying for it to be done and hope this is the issue?

Around 400 euro to solve this. Wasn’t cheap, but transformed the car

Main dealer confirmed, double flush transfer box and software update. They want £400+ for it, checky beggars, but then they also want £300 to replace a cracked rear fog light (they can FRO on that one)! Seems harsh when it's a problem LR made but then it could be a snapped crank so...

Will check if the local independant can do it cheaper.

Sounds competitive! Although it's inside the North Circular so by the time I've paid Mr. Khan, it's probably about the same!

Hi guys, thanks for your valued comments, so I found the tech bulletin for this problem, does this mean the dealer should cover the work even if out of warranty?
Also found small oil residue around transfer case thus morning?

I've had a quote from the local specialist for < £200 +VAT. No mention from the main dealer on LR contributing.

Do you have the details of the tech bulletin (so I can check the specialist is quoting for the right thing)?
