United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
Hi all :) - My 2013 L320 thread

Hi everyone, just bought a 2013 HSE black in a very dark grey colour. Lovely car and we pick it up next weds.
Here for a look about and to find popular mods as well as software etc. I had a quick look at the ecu and it appears to be a bench flash only job - can anyone confirm this?
Also it is the black edition but has no badge to say hse or black ( reg check shows both ) - I cant seem to find a badge for the rear for it. Is there a landrover parts cat online anywhere?

Anyway, its the nicest car we have ever owned and I cant wait to take delivery of it.

Heres some pics from the dealer Smile I have never seen a car this age so clean.

Congratulations

That is indeed one very clean looking car. Can't comment on the Mods I'm afraid tho as never have owned this model.

Enjoy Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Hi and welcome,,, as you will find out over time,, lots of useful information and very helpful people on the forum. Use the search function if you have a particular topic you want to research. As for mods and software updates,,, lots of people prefer to leave everything standard,,LED lamp upgrades are one thing that is popular as the original ones are not too bright. Software wise, unless you are thinking of a remap as some have done, updates to the existing systems are few and far between I think. Sat nav being an obvious choice for up date is a waste of time as I believe you cannot get the latest maps on older cars,, and it's dealer only which is why a lot use 3Rd party sat navs. As for badges,,, only ever seen the likes of sport, hse, autobiography, SVR etc,,,, personally never seen a black or red edition badge,,, but then again I've been wrong before Rolling with laughter. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!

Thanks for the welcomes Smile

Its remap I am looking at. I see I can use KTAG/trasdata boot mode to do the EDC17CP11 ECU but I wondered if there was an OBD2 solution - looking at something called IIDTool just now Smile I am not looking for power, more economy. I mapped my mates 2.7 and he said the difference in MPG was amazing Smile

I dont actually know what the lights are, xenon I think the bloke said? I will find out when I get it Smile

So far the list has a boot liner, seat covers, number plates, some dealer level diag tool once I figure it out.
I havent been this excited about a car ( especially a slow one ) in a long time! It honestly feels like your in a 100k car!

Lovely car!

Yes apparently the dealer gave some people the badge and it was personal choice if they put them on ( or so I read )

I cant find one anywhere, I will have to find a parts cat.

Reading more into the IIDTool it seems a must have and appears to do ecu mapping also. I will give them an email I think unless anyone happens to have already done it?

I think I remember seeing somewhere that all 3.0 ltr models were an ECU out job to remap,, no option via the OBD port as with earlier models. Alive tuning or Bell auto services are popular avenues for this work. Again,, search the topic on here and you will find a heap of info. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Yeah I did lots of searching also. Just messaged Bell and defo an ECU out job... joy. Appears to be behind the battery and I bet its got a flipping cage and anti tamper bolts. Are there issues whe you remove the battery on these? programmed codes etc?

The actual benching appears quite easy on this model....

Disco_Mikey is our resident LR guru and he is in Scotlandshire, Dundee I think. I understand he does re-mapping not sure if its Alive Tuning though.
I think it's MMP Landrover Thumbs Up

If you think it should cost more, go and price a up a new equivalent from LR. They certainly get in to the "yikes" bracket very quickly... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Spoke to Mike and its alive maps he uses aye Smile I could put one on myself but... ive seen horror stories even from professional companies. Might just post the ecu to him, seems an easy job.

Haha yes we bought it from land rovers show room and indeed... the prices were terrifying 😬

my insurance weren't interested when i asked them if i got an aftermarket immobiliser or tracker would it make any difference - they just siad it already has a factory immobiliser on it so they have applied maximum discounts?
