Restricted performance

This is an update to my previous thread ‘black smoke from one exhaust’ the restricted performance came on when out shopping, however went off when restarted, plugged it in when got home and fault code p0281 cylinder 7 contribution/balance came up, has anyone had this fault? Also it has an horrendous hesitation when setting off at traffic lights, junctions etc... if engine is cold it’s even undrivable . Any help would be appreciated.

Update, it is clear that number 7 injector has already been replaced, so someone knew of the issue, so guna do a compression test as this is more likely to be something more serious, is it easy enough to do a compression test or should I book it in, I’ve got a test for petrol but never done a diesel
