Had to share......with dealers still being unable to provide loan cars, I'd thought I check on a aervice quote with my local dealer rather than my preferred - Lookers, Aylesbury.

Grange Welyn quoted £960 inc MOT and brake fluid change...very hard to get through to their service team.

So, thought let me ring next nearest dealer - called Beadles in Watford - got straight through, polite chap called Craig in bookins quoted £720 inc MOT and Brake fluid change.... bonkers...car booked in with Beadles.

Just checked my local and it's £668, have you tried looking on the Land Rover website? You can book in and fixed prices.

Thanks both - checked the website and the quote came close to £900.... £650 to £700 seems about right - LR have a lower pricing menu for cars 3+ years old....most competent dealers seem to use that for older card whereas Grange Welwyn just don't seem to care / know it exists.

Also worth checking if if it has a service plan... I bought one with my (new to me) RR sport, took it in for its service and was told at pick up it already had an extended service plan on it anyway so they refunded the one I paid for! Wasn’t expecting that, especially from a main dealer - thought they’d keep that one quiet!!!

Same here...

Bought my MY2016 in summer of 2019....in Jan 2020 asked for service plan quote from a main dealer.....service manager emailed to confirm chassis number... he came back to confirm car has an existing service plan already in place...happy days...got one more service left in it.

Apart from the brakes, all other items covered by LR warranty - shocking that it needs so much work considering how rarely the car is used and 3k miles in the last 12 months...lets see how well Beadles can undertake the job. Was also offered 20% off the quoted price for the brakes - they must be lined with gold...
