Electrical buzzing noise rear

Hi all. Got a 2011 RRS HSE, and I have not had it long at all and recently when “playing” with the access height and off road height of suspension, I heard an electrical working noise as it was raised and lowered, which obviously I expected, but then when the suspension finished doing its stuff, the same working type noise was still there around the rear suspension.. that can’t be normal ???? Or is it ???

The electric compressor for the air suspension is under the nearside passenger door, when you raise the car it needs to refill the air reservoir so the compressor runs. Once the reservoir is full, the compressor will stop. If you drop and raise the car and stick your head under the nearside sill, you should be able to hear the compressor running, its under a black plastic cover.
Providing the compressor is not continually running it's perfectly normal. If it does run continually, you have an air leak somewhere and the compressor will overheat and burn out resulting in a £600 bill.

Great, thanks for that. The noise was louder around the area you mentioned, so I guess I must have a leak as it was still running after it reached all the different heights... thanks again

just an update, the compressor just stays active for about 30 seconds now after it’s finished raising and lowering. I presume that’s about getting the system to an optimum level
