Best Dashcam ?

Thinking of getting a dashcam. Don't want anything to flash, front and rear.

The answers could be "front window" or "some place close to home" depending on the context... Thumbs Up

JLR are also now selling front and rear dashcam, about 650 fitted. Fitting instructions are now on topix - look at my post under L494 General section for the link for those that have the confidence and skills to work on their own cars!

I've always used the BlackVue dashcams, slightly more expensive but never had an issue and great picture quality

I know many adopt this view - and nothing wrong with that at all. Thumbs Up

My preference its to have the camera obvious and in view from the outside to add a further deterrent to would be thieves. Robin

Myself and the rest of the family have been using Nextbase models for almost five years now.

None of us have had any issues that a format of the memory card did not resolve.

I also think that their software on the pc/laptop gives out a lot of relevant information when using it to view the recorded files "Every Day is a School Day"

The Land Rover dash cam and a normal NextBase one are compared in this video by PowerfulUK.

I have to say that the Land Rover one looks to be worse than the off the shelf NextBase one.

Comparison starts at 10.52. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
