Hi. I'm looking to buy an IID tool. Are they all the same?
Some are made by gap and some by brit part. Or is it just the software is the same and the OBD plug are made by different manufacturers?? New alternator.

As I understand it, the IID Tool is only made by GAP, but I don't have one.

Britpart make the Lynx Evo which I have, but so far am struggling to understand as there is no meaningful user guide to go with it. If it is capable of programming, I have yet to discover how to do it!

I also have an iCarsoft LR2iiV2 which is cheaper, but cannot program. It does offer diagnostics, service and oil reset, EPB release and steering angle sensor reset. It also works across all JLR vehicles, with free updates so far. I do find this much easier to use.
