Silver centre console trim removal

Does anyone know how the get the silver side trims from the centre console removed? I have removed the dash panel and exposed the top of the silver trims, but having a go with a sharp pull, feels like I'm going to break something.

These things are a lot of fun to remove.

Not really.

You have to actually remove your rear air conditioning control panel to remove these.

It’s not that bad but dash cover really needs to pop off the rear ac unit pops off, under the little rubber tray that just pulls up there are 2 bolts 8mm and it pull off top first then bottom there is a cable for the ac at the bottom so go easy.

Drop the seats down low and then prise them up from the back part first, lift up and then lever the top edge on the dash side out, it might be possible to do this with the dash cover left on but much harder, the dash section just pulls off top first the. Lower it down.

I just fitted a wireless charger under the front ac unit in mine so had to do this and it’s pretty easy I had to take all the centre console parts out too! Powerful uk have a video that shows most of it where they upgrade he centre console from piano black to carbon so it will give you an idea! I found it half way through and it would have been a bit quicker if I had known!

The hockey sticks are just clipped in now screws

***EDIT****Got some pics here

you can leave the macover on the rear AC on!

For the dash just pull the top edge first all the way along and then kinda push it donwards as there are clip along the bottome edge that go in first before clipping the top edges in when refitting.

Here is the video PowerfulUK did on removing the centres console that I found and this it the way I did it (i just removed a few more screws than I needed to but it didnt matter) Grab a cloth too as you can clean up the dust around the edges!

Good luck If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

yep, you have to start by removing the rear AC cover:

Once you do that, the trim pops out quite easily - just make sure you don't pull on one side only, pull on both sides. --
