the 4.2 SC pulley 10%

so ill be picking it up from the gents at powerhouse. with the 10% fitted to the snout.

the question is, should I be seeking a remap as well?

I mean am not really for extracting a massive amount of power from the engine, for me it was more the torque gained so give the car/engine an easier time moving from a standstill.

Also remaps seem to cost an arm and leg for what they really are. The only reason the pulley is being done is it was more part of the preventative maintenance for the blower. it was already out so may as well get the snout rebuilt.

I do have a IIDTool and could flash it myself but the prices I've seen are like £350 and now I can't remember where Laughing

Yeah. Somehow it was all Censored . And the rubber housing gasket is even worse. The rubber is solid. I'll be replacing all of them. The annoying thing is this engine was rebuilt last year. They could of atleast used new gaskets

Did you end up getting your car remapped, or was the pulley noticeable enough?

Thanks

never bothered with a remap, the difference is indeed noticeable Smile its brought it to life for my liking. before it was fairly tame and now it feels like the power was always there but now its on show so i can actually hear the supercharger kicking in a lot sooner.
