RRS 2006 Parking Sensors

Hello,

Have a strange one here.

Dash says Front parking sensors inactive and has a 3 second beep when the thing is out into reverse.

Found one rear sensor not ticking, changed it and it never fixed the fault. Ended up changing all the rear sensors with no luck. Swapped out the module with no difference either.

Wiring tests fine.

OBD2 machines is giving a generic parking sensor fault.

I have removed the fuse in the glove box, looks good.

Any ideas where else I can check? Drawing a blank here!!

So I think I have figured this out.

The BEEP error code, when you stick it in reverse is not from the same speakers as the parking module.

I have removed the speaker (in the boot, left hand side, near the parking module) and the thing looks dead.

Ordered a replacement speaker from eBay for £5. Says it fits a ford fiesta but they look identical. The LR one was around £20!

I've also had a problem with that speaker and fitted one advertised as for a Ford that cost a lot less......exactly the same speaker as the LR one Very Happy

For those finding this thread from Google.

A new speaker fixed the issue. The speaker was £5 from eBay, and is designed for a Ford. Looks identical to the LR speaker which costs £20.

The warning tone (three second beep) comes from a different speaker and not the rear parking sensor speaker found on the boot!!
