My car is coming up for its 6 year service. I had taken out a 5 year service plan when I bought my car, so this is the first year I shall be "paying" for it. Car isn't used much
Decided to see if I could take out a new plan, so inputted the details asked for ie
3 year plan
Mileage 12000
Annual mileage 2000
Cost £3364.04
Now, that cost does not change whether you pay monthly or in full today. I also have a service plan on my S63 AMG Mercedes Coupe, which if you pay in full you get a 20% discount, which I think is pretty good.
Decided to see if it was dearer if my mileage was higher so put in
Mileage 70000
Annual Mileage 15000
Cost £3364.04
So dosn't matter if its high miles or low, cost is same

Most dealers now run the little advertised 3+ years old service regime...basically exactly the same servicing but at half the price...and they won’t tell you about it unless you ask.... it’s a scheme to try and keep you in the official Oem servicing rather than go to an independent...

I would definitely ask first before paying that as it seems to be a huge amount of money for the little miles you do!

That way rather than a service pack I would just do them individually.....

I guess the price stays the same, regardless of mileage as it’s the same number of services, ie 3 years, 3 services which if you did a lot of miles would be used up before 3 the years.
My 5th service is due soon, like you my mileage is low, so will ask about the “older vehicle” options for beyond that final plan service.

And if I lived where you live I would be definitely heading to Mikey’s.... you won’t find anyone more knowledgeable on JLR products than him.!

Why TF is anyone using a main dealer for servicing?

Get thee to a decent Indy! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Spot on Mike, Just had my timing belts done last week with Mike -top job from a top guy
