Groundhog Day???

Car passed its MOT again this morning with no advisories. Emissions were 0.08 1/m, don’t know if that’s good. I’ve done 12 miles shy of 10k this year which is shockingly low, but predictable as I’m using my wife’s car every other week because she is still working from home.

Crikey Steve. Has it really been a year??

I looked back at my reply to your post last year. Mine has gone from 86000 miles to... 90000. 4k in a year. Exclamation Similar to your situation where my wife has a car now and we do use that for pottering about now, but my 2005 has now averaged just 5625 miles over 16 years. That's mostly down to it being parked up for a very long time when it lived in The Netherlands before I bought it in 2017.

Still loving mine and she gets well looked after. (Car and wife that is! Laughing ). No intention of getting rid of the car. Whistle

Congrats on the MOT and here's to many more! Thumbs Up Barrie.

My Baby passed this week too, first MOT of ownership, Last MOT (BY LR) advised rear brake pipes and front CV joints starting to leak, I couldnt find any probs so pointed this out to my MOT tester to be on the safe side but he found no issues at all and paid extra attention to those areas. so 100% pass this year with no advisories. Very happy.

I need to get my 8speed gear box serviced but hopefully that will be her sorted for a while.

Test got postponed till today due to IT issues.

Well it failed 😞 cut on the inside of a rear tyre and excessive play in one rear anti roll bar link so nothing horrendous I’ll get some Meyle HD links ordered at the weekend from AF. Steve

Thanks Steve, after inspection I can’t find a cut in the tyre only the hole from a puncture repair that was there last year! going to call the test station and ask the question. Steve

Well it’s that time of the year and my car passed 100k on the way to the station. Passed with no advisories on or off the record. Dry as a bone underneath which is great as we’ve just had a new driveway laid Shocked . One day I’ll take the time to understand the emissions reads. But they were;

Don’t know why it’s upside down as even when selecting the photo it’s in the correct orientation?. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Ipad, iPhone same thing!

It's an Apple idiosyncrasy, they use a nonstandard bit in the photo metadata to remember the orientation.

Well it was a fail again this year, only centre bearing on the prop which I Tiger sealed but a whole rook of advieries.

Both front wishbone bushes, only one last year got poly’s to go at some point.
Oil leaks from engine (it’s not it’s front diff seal) and gearbox (tube seal) I know about that.
General underbody corrosion, rear chassis, inner sills, suspension arms, I know I need to get under there with something I’m thinking Lanoguard?

All in all not too bad👍 Steve
