Reduced performance warning

2009 RR 2.7... Reduced parformance warning.
Dealer has clearly been in touch with a LR dealer and has been advised to fit a genuine LR oil filter to cure the problems.
It has not cured the problem . I am suspicious of low oil pressure.
Anybody know if that warning is possible with low oil pressure?
Cam belts have been changed but not the oil pump ???? Milage 67000

It's the fuel filter that needs changing !

otherwise you need to read the fault codes.
Do you get and engine fault message on the dash ?

Maybe a better fault code reader is required or are you using iid ?

Is the car exhibiting reduced performance, or is it just the message on the dash?
The reason I ask is that I've just had this and although the car drove fine it was corrosion in the wiring in the fuel filter head (the place where the fuel filter fits into under the car) causing an error code. Not an uncommon problem apparently and a new filter head cured it. There are posts on here about it I think (if not here then Disco3 forum).
Diagnosis was via having the fault codes read properly by someone who knows what they mean, as suggested many times on here.

Hopefully for the life of your engine, it's going to be this rather than anything to do with the oil filter/oil pressure.
The filter head is not particularly expensive, under £100 from memory, and 1-2hrs labour depending on if the cross member needs dropping. Oh, and it will come with a new fuel filter as well so one less job.

Malaysia

A range of issues can result in "Reduced Engine Performance" including unlikely issues like the brake light switch. Without reading fault codes, it's an almost impossible task.
