United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Original wheel size

Hi
Im new to RRS ownership and picking mine up shortly , its an 06 tdv6 so no spring chicken but it has 22 inch stormer rims {i think thats the name} on it which im just not a fan off and surely it didnt come with them as standard.
my question is what are the best / original size rims to go back to so i can put a reasonable at tyre on.
Cheers Alex

If it is prior to Vin. No. 6A917427 it was probably supplied on 255/50 x 19" after that Vin. No. they fitted an uprated steering rack which allowed 275/40 x 20" wheels/tyre to be fitted as well as the 19" rims. 22" rims were never a factory option on a L320. It is always possible someone has retrofitted the uprated rack though.

Cheers

As Col says above. On 19’s the ride is sublime, 20’s not to bad but they look better. It’s down to choices and what you want from the car. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

A 06 TDV6 would have come with 18" rims - my 07 TDV6 came with them as standard - 19" were optional. 07MY RRS TDV6

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

My Dec 05 has 19’s and at first I was a little disappointed it hadn’t got 20 or 22’s but it ticked all the other boxes, I must say I’ve got used to the look off them now and as mentioned the ride is lovely. They don’t suit if lowered but at standard height they look great.

I’ve considered a change to 20’s but afraid I may not like the ride. Steve

Here you go:
https://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/u...wheels.pdf 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi and welcome,

I liked 19" on ours and went for the same size as D3/D4 255/55/19 rather than 255/50/19

they were original fitment on G4's as well so not a mod for my insurance Whistle

regarding wheels I would suggest OEM rather than aftermarket (unless good quality ones) plenty of choice used if you look at disco ones as well, there can be a difference in weight ratings but the RRS ones are normally the lower ones, same for tyres weight rating and RRS being lower

The big decider is what you are wanting the tyres to do Question

all terrain options again would 3sF winter rated may be good

Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005
