United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Bear in mind that the speed rating is the max speed that the tyre will carry its rated (maximum) load. H is 130mph so it isn't really an issue in that regard. It's well over the speed limit and it's also faster than your RRS will go...

The rated load is 110 in both V and H which is higher than that required for the RRS (106 for a L320). It's the load rating that is the most important as you can over load it and have a tyre failure at legal speeds. If someone has a tyre failure caused solely by exceeding the speed rating then they're going to be going way too fast to worry about the outcome...

I've been running H-rated tyres for years on both my TDV8 and now my SDV6. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks RRS, quick question, have you had to tell the insurance about running H instead of V? 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)

Sooooooooo in the end I didn't get any of the original tyre choices (I managed to get a few more months out of the Nexens) but again thanks for all your input into the matter.

Anyhow new shoes fitted to the old girl this morning by Halfruads (tyres on the drive), ended up going with the original fit Pirelli Scorpion Zero Assimetrico in 275/40 r20.

They ended up about £50 more than any of the others on the list with a 15% Black Friday discount. Sadly had to revert back to the original 40 profile as current insurers decided that it was a modification they couldn't cover. Tried all the usual suspects for insurance with the 45 profile and either they couldn't cover or the prices went through the roof.

Current insurance £294 with £100xs, best with "modification - 45 profile tyres) A-Plan but came in at £560 with £600xs Shocked Shocked Shocked

Doesn't seem to be too bad back on 40s though Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)
