Comparison of large SUVs

Good showing from the RRS.

I was surprised how bad some of the competition was:

Evoque MY17 TD4 AB

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

No great surprises - many/most SUVs aren't intended to be able to go anywhere off road. For most, the 4wd bit is to get up the hill at the end of their street when it snows.

The RRS driver seemed intent on trying to make it look like it was struggling - kept coming off the throttle just as the vehicle was making progress, rather than just holding a constant throttle and letting the car do its thing. It'd have cruised up there even more easily than it did for them. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
