Hello. Have changed car and want and use IIDTOOL BT on our new car. Range Rover Sport L494 2014.
How do I go ahead and get it work on this model.
Have sold the previous car, Range Rover Sport 2006

Plug it into the new car then go into config and connect then you will get an activation code which you need to email the GAP and they send a new code to activate it on the new vehicle and deletes it from the old one.

I don't think an IIDTool for an L320 will work with the L494. Best to ask Gap themselves. They're pretty good at responding to direct queries.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Have sent them emails several times without and get a response back from them

With this diagnostic tool IIDTool can you program the car so that the handbrake goes on by itself every time you park the car.

Also want the taillights to light up all the time, even during the day when it's bright. and not just when driving into a tunnel or when it is dark.

You can on a L320 so imagine you can on a L494, applies when you turn the ignition off or put in in park I think but can't really remember.

Now I got to program the park brake so it goes on when you stop the engine.
But need help to get the taillights on all the time.
Someone who knows how to do this with IIDTools

Posted this about 5 years ago, gives the different options for DRL activation on the L320, not sure if it the same with the L494 though as they already have DRL's, but with the earlier cars to have taillights on all the time so are dipped headlights.


Have gone into the CCF files and there are three options listed on my car a MY13 A/B 5.0L S/C.

1. DRL Standard
2. Scandinavian
3. Canadian

I Activated Standard and all that did was give me two Fault Codes B124A-15 and B124B-15 which are Left and Right Daytime Running Light open Circuit but no working DRL's so it may be when you have either DRL lamp kit VPLSV0064 or 65 fitted you may have to activate this but that is purely a guess. By the way those kit's are over �400.00

De-activated that and then Activated Canadian and what that did was nothing with ignition on and Engine Running, however when you engage Drive and let the Park Brake Off it Switched Front and Rear Side Lights and Dipped Headlights On, as soon as you apply P/B and take it out of Drive It switches them Back Off.

Again De-activated that and Activated Scandinavian and what that did was as soon as you Start Engine it Switched on Front and Rear Sidelights and Dipped Headlights.

There is no facility that I could find to just activate the Front Fairy Lights on there own as DRL's.

I hope that all makes some kind of sense.
