Colour of Grills and Seat Repair

Hello,

Two real quick questions:

1) Does anyone know what colour silver (as in paint code) the front grill should be on a RRS Supercharged 2005 plate? Or what colour I should spray them on a Bottas Grey car (Very Happy I forget what the actual paint code is!)

2) What is the best way to repair the rip in the drivers side seat which seems to be a common issue?

Thanks Smile

If I am not mistaken, the paint code is on the vin plate under the bonnet.
On my previous rrs I used a small trimming firm to replace the ripped leather, it was only around £70.
The rip usually happens if the car has no side steps, hence slide out of the car rather than stepping out. MY12 RRS HSE

The colour is Bonatti Grey, paint code is shown on the VIN plate beside the bonnet slam - this is what it looks like

There are mobile repairers such as Chipsaway who can do leather repairs on your drive, quality varies from franchise to franchise though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Surely that is the colour of the car itself not the trim bits like the grill. 07MY RRS TDV6

Good point Garry, mine is colour coded to the vehicle.
At a guess it would be similar colour to the alloys. MY12 RRS HSE

Thanks - I know the paint code of the car - I am after the colour code (or name) of the silver paint for the front grills. They are currently silver but have faded over time. I can go buy "silver" paint but was hoping to either get the colour the same as original, or to a colour that people generally spray them too.

The car is a 55 placed RRS Superchared.

I will see what I can do with the leather using some DIY work Smile

I have the 2005 sales brochure I’ll have a look and see if the S/C trim colour is mentioned anywhere

Ok what is says is the trim is called Noble finish -a sort matte grey-all models seem to have had it except factory built HST’s that came later with “bright” finish which was chrome-a-like.. iIRC they weren’t actually painted, that was the colour of the plastic they were made from. If what you mean is the “grating” in the intakes on the sides then that colour isn’t mentioned.
As for the front radiator grille it was just called The Spercharged Grille with matte brushed aluminium finish whereas the other cars just had matte grey all over it 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Cheers guys

Andy is spot on about what I meant - I am after the colour code to that silver; or anything close really.

Interestingly, the surround of mine isn't colour coded, it is grey plastic I believe.

The Silver is called "Titan" and the Grey "Tungsten" but not sure there is a actual L/R paint code for them, as said the grey looks far better colour coded. On Facelift cars it was referred to as Noble and Oberon and when they fitted the Silver trim across the rear tailgate it was called Atlas Silver if I remember correctly. There was also another colour referred to as Jupiter which was the colour of the grill part of the Facelift wing side vents I think.

Cheers
Col
