Bonnet Open Warning On Dash?

Hi Everyone,

Driving home from work today I got a 'bonnet open' warning on the dash, bonnet was/is secure? Ive checked the catches and they seem fine. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Discovery3/4's used to suffer from a build up of crud in the catch which would lead to it thinking it was open. A good clean out with a de-greaser and old toothbrush and drop of lubricant should do the job. A quick cheat to turn the warning light off is the bridge the contacts on the switch plug with paperclip.

Mine did this. It was the little switch at the back of the engine bay that wasn’t contacting well enough. A little self adhesive felt pad stuck to the underside of the bonnet where the switch makes contact allowed the switch to depress that extra couple of millimetres and cured it. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available
