Leak above spare wheel ?

Hi,

Noticed a little puddle ( soaked in , so not wet) where the spare wheel is on a 2012 RRS . Looks clear, But not disappearing with the sun.

Looks like it has come down the spare wheel as that also looks wet ( but not wet to touch).

Whats above the spare wheel that could cause this ?

Rear diff or rear anti roll bar. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The active roll bar reservoir is full so don't think it's that .

The rear diff , is that above the wheel ? Or in front of it .

Don't recall anything directly above spare wheel when I've removed mine except the boot floor, rear diff is forward of spare wheel, anything been laid in the boot? that could have leaked through floor where the tool kit etc. is and run round the tyre and dripped off, only a suggestion though.

Cheers

When driving forward at normal speeds, which way is any oil leak going to go?

First I've known of leaks from rear diff and rear ARB was oil spots on the rear of the boot hatch/rear bumper.

Jack it up and slide underneath. You'll soon see what is leaking. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
