My First RRS

Picking it up at the weekend a 2014 dynamic with just 44,000 on the clock.
Im over form DISCO3 where over the years have picked up lots of info i would not otherwise have found out about my Disco4 like the turbo drain mod, pollen filter tray that let water in, mega flushing of gearbox and my well used IID Tool.

Are there any little gems out there for a newby to look out for / get sorted on these beasts? Thumbs Up
Any nice additions to be added with the IID

Cheers
Drew

Congrats - are you getting it from a dealer ? Have you sorted out a warranty ? Lots on here on whther to go LR Warranty to Warranty direct - good cases for both.

I would also get as much of the car history as possible - when I bought mine, I asked for service sheet printouts (you get more info than online) and good for the paperwork file - dealer was happy to provide with previous owner details removed (although this info is on the V5....)

Not sure if you're into your music - I have a basic Meridian - first mod was to remove the felt padding between the front door panel and speaker - then sound proofed doors with Dynomat - no more rattles at loud volumes.

Would be great to see pics.

All the best

Thanks Prashan,
Yes coming from main dealer and they sold it from new and have looked after it sever since. Comes with LR 12 month warranty after that runs out i will wait and see what looks good nearer the time. A lot of love for Warranty Direct over on the disco forum.

Tried to get a belt change thrown in as part of the deal as due next year but all i got was an offer of their internal rate of £725 for the job. Not sure how good a deal that is for the work though.

And yes i like my 60's / 70's rock as it should be played. LOUD Very Happy So im sure i will be having a play with the speaker foam if it helps.

First mod ordered already with a set of Disco 5 20" black alloys as it comes with 22" black alloys and just to big for me personally as i want a set of Grabber AT3'S ON as we live pretty ruraly and tow a trailer in and out of fields on occasions.

Once collected will update on pics.

Welcome to the RRS fold. Now just find a decent LR indie garage to do the oily bits for you and you'll be sorted. I certainly wouldn't pay LR dealers to do anything on it. Overpriced and usually rubbish. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Just sold mine Drew. Fab car, possibly best the car I've ever owned. Had it from circa 40k miles to just over 96k when I sold it, also a 2014, but Autobio.

Needed rear diff seal looking at, had both rear handbrake motors replaced under warranty, but other than that, no issues and it really was epic.

Enjoy!

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Thumbs Up

Guess i need to get myself a good local indy though just in case. Did most of the work myself on the D4 to be fair though that wasnt much as the only things needing replacing were an alternator and top hose and usual suspects, brakes discs etc

Anyone got recommendations on an INDY in south Devon?
