2011 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey

[Wanted] Ebony Leather Drivers Seat Base (HSE Premium)

I am after an ebony leather drivers seat base for my 2012 MY RRS. Its HSE spec premium leather with kind of off white contrast stitching (grey?)

The drivers side panel is split on mine but the rest of the seat is immaculate, so looking to swap with an equally good base.

Happy to buy a whole drivers seat if you wont want to break.

Have you tried a local upholsterer, they can do miracles these days, look at some of the things they did on car SOS Joined the X5 45e club

The seat covers are available to buy as separate items, I think. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Have you tried Flea Bay??

Lots L320 seats, seat covers etc for sale there.

They are but, just ordered one for my passengers side front. Retail with Vat £596.00 admittedly its a A/B with the two tone leather which probably makes it a little dearer, but stupid money really, drivers side even dearer. E-bay is probably your best friend.

Yeah I had a quote for about £650 for a new one from Land Rover. You can still get them. The LAST resort really as I would rather spend that on the gearbox flush and front brakes!

I am looking at fleabay but still nothing that is quite right.

I tried a few local trimmers but they have not inspired much confidence they can't replicate the stitching pattern and seam and didnt really appear that keen to do it.

The smart repair guys don't want to know because its more than just a nick in the seat.

If anyone knows a really good trimmer who has worked for them then please let me know who they are.

but if anyone has a seat or a seat base I can just swap, then that would be good too.

Long journey for you but The Only Way is Custom in Essex do some amazing work
Also www.b-Trim.co.uk in Enfield have a good reputation

Great thanks. Enfield is ok as I am originally from up that way before I moved to Wales. I go back a lot so B Trim is definitely worth a try

Thanks. That would be spot on what I need but my seats are Ebony. Ebony is a nightmare to find.

However B Trim in Enfield have got back to me and quoted £100+VAT to fix. I might take them up on that.

Just as a point of interest with that advert if anybody was thinking of fitting Passengers to Drivers side or visa versa they are different, if you use the Drivers side on the Passengers Side you won't have the occupancy sensor unless you fit one first and you will not have leather down the outer edge of the seat it will be a material, same applies if you use the Passengers Side on the Drivers Side although doesn't matter about the occupancy sensor as Drivers Side does not have one.

They fixed mine as I had a rip, 1st class, great service, looks like new

I am going to ring them tomorrow and book in. Looking at end of August but I will definitely take some pictures

Good to hear a positive outcome from Btrim's previous work. Any chance of a picture so I can see the finish? I am hoping they can replicate the stitching and the correct seam.

I am really looking forward to getting the seat fixed as its bugging me.

I've sort of fixed my rear speaker grille too. I managed to carefully get it to 'pop' back into place and you now cant see the crack. Luckily none of it was broken, so it all went back really nice. Happy with that

Tomorrow its off to Promec to get my bottom arms done!
