Suspension Fault arrrgghhh

Hey guys. I have had a previous suspension fault which I fixed around 6 months ago. I had a small nic in my height sensor 5v supply which I sorted and all was well. I am now getting..

U0421-81 (2E) invalid data received from ride level control module - bus signal/ message failure - invalid serial data received.
C1A74-1C (2Cool Rear left height sensor mechanism - general electrical failure - circuit voltage out of range

when I attach my GAP diagnostics it is showing my 5v signal jumping up and down which tells me it could be another nicked cable but this time the return signal. My issue is the cables from the height sensor is only around 200mm before they return into the chassis loom...do I disconnect the chassis loom to trace back the nicked cable? or is there something I am missing?

any comments at all are greatly appreciated
