Dashcam in P400e - front and rear

On the last car we had a Blackvue front and rear cam installed but somehow in the winter check battery always flashed up.

We've now got a P400e and I haven't yet installed the cameras, naturally, someone has scraped the rear quarter of the car and driven off.

So planning to put the cameras back in this week. Am I likely to face any issues given the electric nature of the car? Drainage etc.

Ive installed a Tornado hardwire battery monitor kit for my front and rear goluk dash cams.

These prevent vehicle battery discharge and will power the camera's off if the battery drops to something like 12.5V

some good videos on you tube, thinking of doing the same thing, just ordered my P400e for delivery sept, been do a little research on front and rear hardwired cameras, front no problem but rear if you want a neat job the rear spoiler needs to come off for this else attach to the rear head lining, so i might forget the rear,

Good Luck

Got the wiring plumbed in on Sunday. No issues getting it in the headliner and door trim. When it comes to the rear tailgate, there is a small section of wire seen.
Couldn't hook up the camera ready as couldn't remember the wifi password for the front camera.
On Sunday it turned on and went into parking mode as normal. But when I went back to it Monday, it didn't power up from the Power Magic Pro box (set to 12.5v and 72h recording). But plugging it directly to the cigar lighter in the boot made it work.
Currently have the fuses used as red wire going into F16 (trailer ) and yellow wire into F33 (windscreen wiper).

Thought perhaps the battery charge had dropped as car hadn't been driven for 4 days. But drove 400km home today and it still didn't power up.... Have i got my fuses wrong? Better options?

Can't say if they are the best fuses to use, but are you sure one is a permanent live and the other ignition live? I can't really remember but I have a vague recollection the yellow is live and red aux but that may be on the thinkware as though at the time the red would be the permanent live for some reason.

I still have a set of fitting instructions for Power Magic and found this.

Cheers

Thanks Col,
that's what I'm thinking now, that are the fuses correct. Just odd that the first day when plumbed in it worked fine off the fuses, and then next day nothing.

@Pakolainen Did you manage to find the correct fuses to hardwire the cam? I'm having a similar problem as I can't seem to find the correct combination of fuses for constant power and non-constant power.

Any help would be appreciated

No joy so far. I'm getting no power to the Power Magic Pro.
Wondering if the unit has given up. Also the rear camera seems to not be working.
At least on DashCam talk both PMP and the rear camera tend to have faults. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography
