Thanks for that Col!! It looks to me as though the pipe section should twist and detach from the engine? What do you think? As mine is loose I don't like to play around with it just in case its damaged in some way. The wording of your post indicates to me you are just showing me a pictures of the two parts and perhaps you haven't had the need to remove or replace the pipe yourself? Andrew Kennedy

Andrew, that picture is based on L/R's part number and I think it shows the cap and pipe as a pair as that is how they sell it, I haven't actualy had to replace one as I have the s/c which is different. Google 1336599, LR016955 or LR037844 should bring up various pictures.

Cheers

Looks like it might just turn and lock in unless the picture is just the cap bit only it's listed as pipe and cap, may just need new 'O' ring to tighten up unless a lug of some sort is broken.

Yep, looks as though the '0' rings needs replacing - I can't think I am going to be able to buy just the '0' ring? so got any suggestions as to what material I can use to put round the pipe before tightening it down?!?! Andrew Kennedy

You can actualy buy "O" rings if you were to measure it you could possibly get one from a plant hire firm or hydraulic specialist or you can actualy buy kits to make your own.

Just about everything is closed down over here in Brittany and I don't fancy my chances of finding a 45mm ID '0' ring Would you know, by chance, of a RR Spares supplier in UK that might be worth contacting for such a small order?!? Andrew Kennedy

Would it not be easier just to order a new cap/pipe from someone like Advanced Factors, they deliver to me in N/Z so sure they would deliver to France, in addition if the part has been damaged at all due to overtightening it would solve the problem.

Cheers
