Bit the bullet and attacked the rust on the fuel tank strap to see if it was as bad as it looked it wasn’t brushed up a treat.



Then a coat of Dinatrol 4941.



It’ll get coated again when I rust treat the whole underside but at least I know I don’t need a fuel tank strap. Happy days  Steve

Your right, I’m going to do the whole underside at some point starting from the rear which is worse, the side steps are rotten so when I replace them the sills will be done. It’s all surface rust but needs attention before it gets worse.

Thought my days of rusty cars ended with my MGB roadster and Porsche 911 restoration projects I was a lot younger then  Steve
