Laughing No man not been on here for ages now!

I am pretty tempted but with a new version around the corner I am pretty sure why these deals are there - they have plenty of stock to clear - all the cars are immediately available too.

New RRS isn't going to be until 2022 at the earliest so you've got a little while in it, great time to hand it back without charge as its on lease just jump into the new one !!!

That is a cheap deal to be fair!!! Mileage a bit low though and by the time you add one or two options it will creep a bit but still very good deal !!

Guess the lease deals are just re-aligning with the market prices for SVRs at the moment. Non JLR Vehicle

Has anyone tried to get their free valuation on your present car? Just for interest I put in mine 2014 with 11000 miles , immaculate on all their questions & it came up with "NO VALUATION" Big Cry

The prices I have put up are on 24 months no down payment 10k miles and just spoken to them - add privacy glass and 22"s and the price is £1070 x 25 (no deposit) = £26,750 you would lose more the min you drive out of the showroom in one Rolling with laughter

Before lockdown they were working on a major facelift (LCI) update - whether they bother now we will have to wait and see.

Use Autotrader or Wizzle, don't use the valuations on other sites, they're less realistic.

Cars are still moving at the moment especially if they're in demand. Non JLR Vehicle

Must be loads of unsold SVR'S in stock as if you put in a 5litre Autobiography Dynamic for the same deal, ie 1 month payment, 24 months term & 5000 miles bearing in mind a base Autobiography is £92k & base SVR is £102k, the Autobiography is £1326/month & SVR is £874

Thing is with the SVRs they move on quickly.

I'm guessing they will start to shift now dealerships are opening again as there's always a market for them.

The difference in deal is that the SVR holds its value a lot better than the normal AB P525 - rightly or wrongly - or they haven't applied this months incentives to that deal yet . . . Non JLR Vehicle

RE: Before lockdown they were working on major facelift(LCI)

Hi RRSMAN.

Do you have any further info on this. I would like one, but am hoping they will roll out the P400 Mild Hybrid engine to the rest of the range. Do you have anyone in the know, and also can you tell me what LCI means !

Thanks R

LCI means a mid life facelift (Life Cycle Incarnation).

Dangermouse seems to think there won’t be a facelift and that a new model replaces the L494 in 2022 but I have info that there will be an update this year.

I cant see how JLR can carry on pushing the L494 for another two years. Lets be honest, they are now dated. They are struggling as is hence all the cheap deals!

I had the new Cayenne Hybrid as a demo for a weekend and it felt amazing and “new” compared to an L494 MY18+

I've been told differently to RRSman but I guess time will tell as I can't guarantee what I've been told is gospel.

Who knows I guess!

With that being said its a great time to buy regardless!

If when things open back up and people do start spending AND the factories are producing limited supply, all the deals are going to tighten almost immediately.

OR no one will buy, there'll be loads of stock slowly creeping into the dealership network and there will be loads more deals and much deeper discounting.

I have no idea which way its gonna go!! Non JLR Vehicle

So after speaking to the contract hire company today they told me this deal is only for cars built to spec from factory! There are cars available immediately but they will be more money! Seems strange that JLR will discount new orders to this extent but then again like DM says the dealers may well shift stock after they reopen but getting new orders may be an issue and which is why the cheap deals are being offered.

Maybe I've inherited some Yorkshire blood from my Mum, but the idea of £1000/month on a car doesn't strike me as a definition of "bargain". Rolling with laughter

(Yes, I know they're expensive cars etc., it was the juxtaposition of a large sum of money and "bargain" that had me chuckling.) 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
