a bit of good news about my dog

As there is so little good news around at the moment I thought that I'd share this with you.
Last Sunday my 12yr old Jack Russel, Percy, who has never had a days illness in his life, started to drink massive amounts of water, & then vomiting it. He also went off his food, & retreated to his bed. Sunday night he got worse, & had trouble getting his back half to work. Monday morning he was worse, he couldn't stand & was if his back half was paralysed. At lunchtime we took him to the vet as an emergency case. He got out of the car & couldn't stand so the vet lady carried him into the surgery, advising us to return in an hour, after she had done some tests, but to expect the worse.

When re returned, I must admit I was a bit teary, but then the vet brought Percy to the car, & he was walking although very shaky. The vet advised that his liver readings were off the scale, & lots of other things wrong, which went in one ear & out the other. She advised she had given him a massive shot of antibiotics & had prescribed some pills. We took him home & within the hour he was walking, albeit shaky. Next morning there was a magical improvement, leading up to today when he is back to his normal self. Apparently he had a severe liver infection.
This has so cheered me up, & I realise that to non dog lovers this must be hard to understand. Sorry if I've bored you, but I needed a bit of good news in this bleak period of our lives.

That's excellent news. We are a nation of animal lovers.

I have a cat who had been (aparently) healthy until last December, he has a massively oversized heart and lung desease. We have to administer medication 3 times daily and he is doing well considering in Feb he was given weeks to live. We have had cost of well over £2000, and fortunately these have been covered fully by PetPlan. MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

That’s great news, our two Westies lasted 15 and 16 Years I was a complete mess when they went. Got two wonky rescues now a Westie from a puppy farm and a Yorkie Schnauzer cross form a home and one day they will break my heart, hopefully not too soon?
