Quick question, has anyone fitted this size tyre and if so what were your thoughts. Thanks in advance Andy.

Not sure if they would cause any major issues but that is about 80mm larger diameter than the standard 275/40 x 20 reckon the speedo would be a bit out with that size though and might rub on full lock.

Cheers
Col

Lot of US/CA owners run this size with BFG ATs, no issues. Thumbs Up --

I've got 275/55R20s.

Drives fine. Potholes melt away. Off road awesome. Road noise not much different.

I've adjusted the tyre size using the IID Tool, also raised the suspension 10mm to avoid rubbing on the rear wheel arch.

I've removed the mud flaps for more clearance.

Here's a photo of it in it's natural habitat Laughing

Thanks for the replies guys, agree Col the speedo will be out by quite a bit but can set the Garmin to bong when speed limit is reached so problem solved with that one.

Naks i think you guys get more chances to use those tyres as they should be, used BFG A/Ts in the past.

Guyzser73 it's the pothole situation i'm thinking about mainly and i really think it's time to invest in a IID Tool and learn how to use it.

I'm lucky that i do have a set of 19" rims and going to remove the Duratracs which are 255/55x19 and would happily go to this size on these rims.

Andy,

You could always go one size smaller. Pirelli offer the ATR in 275/50R20 that's rated at 113V. It's about 25mm small in diameter. Another option are 285/50R20s.

I ran 285/50R20s and had some rubbing on the fronts at full lock, but resolved this with 6mm spacers and longer bolts.
