Front tow eye cover, thieving B****rds

So my wife has just informed me that during here trip to Newcastle she parked the motor up, came back and some thieving Censored has stolen my front tow eye cover. including the clips!!!

Any way looks like ill be buying a new one, problem im having is my car has the stealth pack on and i cant seem to find one in satin black any where, only gloss black.

Would somebody please be able to point me in the right direction? Thank you.

You’ll probably have to buy one in gloss & get it painted in satin,it’s no help but it’s a shame it wasn’t the rear as when I fitted my19 rear bumper to mine I had to purchase a different rear tow eye cover with mine having the Towbar fitted & id already had bottom of bumper painted satin as I’ve also got the stealth pack. Andy.

Hi Andy, did you manage to get a decent match with the paint? I’ve searched high and low online all night (on night shift) and can’t find one anywhere. Looks like I’ll have to get one painted. Gutted that some one would do that.

Realise it doesn't help a great deal, but the part number is LR060340 superceded to LR095430 which might help tracking one down.

Cheers

A friend has his own body shop up the road from me & he painted the complete bumper & yes it is a good match as he mixes his own paint.

A bit left field, but have you had a look at the local newspaper adds, ebay gumtree etc? The thieving little (insert your own expletive) have probably got to sell it somewhere. If it's got a distinctive mark, other than the colour finish, you may be able to identify bit as yours.

Thanks for the advice, I have hunted high and low with no such luck, unfortunately.

Andy can you confirm that the tow eye cover is actually satin black and included in the stealth pack? or anybody else with the stealth pack? I'm starting to wonder now if so they are like unicorn turds. cheers

imguessing if its from Powerful uk it will be a good copy as they sell decent stuff. You then need a decent painter to match the stain which shouldn't be too hard as it should be easier than gloss. Andy.

Yes I think painting a primer rather than gloss will probably get a better out come. I’m getting back from work tomorrow so get the ball rolling then. Will post a pic when it’s done. Thanks for the help on this guys appreciate it 2016 Yulong White L494 AB/DYN 3.0SDV6

This was something I was looking at replacing, but like yourself this is next to impossible of getting a replacement factory painted.
The annoying part is the rear tow eye cover in satin black is readily available

I’ve failed trying to find a factory painted in satin. I ended up buying a brand new original LR cover in santorini black for £90 +£10 postage. It’s the same colour as my contrast roof, I will fit it and see how it looks, I know I’ll end up getting it painted satin. Another option is get the rest of the satin black bits painted santorini black. But then I have satin black wheels so they would need painting also 🤣 2016 Yulong White L494 AB/DYN 3.0SDV6

That’s the new cover delivered and fit onto the car yesterday. I do like the glossy black look against the white but obviously it does not match the rest of the stealth pack I have.

I can’t decide weather to paint the cover satin or paint the rest of the trim gloss.

What do people prefer? 2016 Yulong White L494 AB/DYN 3.0SDV6
