SIM card reader, how many you had?

As per title.
So purchased the car a year old. A month or so in, "SIM card not supported " message. Buy new SIM card, same message. JLR change under warranty. All works so buy a £45 SIM card to last two years. 1 month in, "SIM not supported " again. Stupidly think it's the card so I have bought another, £45 and same message. £90 down and two SIM card readers. Why is it I am the one loosing £90 and not my fault! 2018 SVR

I bought a my3 24gb 24 month SIM card for my car and set it up and all working ok so far but only had the car a month !

It's only set up for the satnav as thought it would eat data if turned on as a hotspot. Hoping it's not going to tell me the same as your as other than buying a new sin I wouldn't know if it was a fault or used all the data. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
2012 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography santorini black with ebony/cirrus interior. Gone

I have mine setup the same for sat nav only. When it stopped working I thought it some how must have used the 25gb in a month so bought another. Fitted that and is the same, " SIM not recognised." Tried the old sim in an old phone, logged on to three and it tells me I have 2 years left and 24gb left! £90 wasted! 2018 SVR

I won’t go on but this is what started my RRS V8SC issues which led me to sell the car.

Car purchased new Dec 2017

SIM Card reader fault Jan 2018 - reader replaced - function OK

SIM Card reader fault March 2018 - computer required 4 weeks off the road - computer replaced - function OK

Front Dynamic suspension leak - pipe required - pipe replaced - function OK

SIM Card reader fault - September 2018 - reader replaced not fixed - computer replaced not fixed - interior stripped, most of dash removed looking for wiring fault - car sold - it took the dealer until late December 2018 to fix the car and advertise it for sale. Mileage was around 4500.

I bought a new M3 Competition, it’s not my daily driver. I love it (it’s my 2nd M3) No problems so far. My daily is a 2012 Audi A4 Allroad 2.0 TDI with 60k miles (100k kms). Everything works. There is not one rattle or squeak and it never misses a beat.

I have owned 4x RRS since 2008. 2 have been fantastic and 2 have been problem cars. I like JLR products but I won’t buy another one, well, not yet anyway. If JLR could build cars to the same quality as my old A4, they could justify their premium pricing.
