I have four of these and they are fantastic...

Also, four of these nice little rubber pads to go on the top of them...

They go from 395mm to 605mm and have a nice large footprint for stability.

I went for these because they are tall as standard so you don't need to extend them a lot. Smaller stands, for 'normal' cars will also do the job, but you have to significantly extend them, which I don't like the thought of. The above ones also have the safety pin for extra protection. I wouldn't have stands without this feature. Kev

Nice.....but 6 ton per stand is a bit of overkill isn't it???

Would like to find some 3 ton with the same height dimension 2006 L320 4.2 Supercharged

The maximum load rating is irrelevant, providing it exceeds your requirements of course.

Lower rated stands are generally smaller and fine for normal cars. They will just about manage the RRS also, but as I mentioned above, they need to be extended quite a bit which I am not keen on.

Here's a side by side picture of my 3 tonne vs 6 tonne stands extended to the approximate height to fit under the RRS. The 6 tonne ones are a lot more stable.

Agreed, both you and Mikey......the extra extension on the smaller ones is my worry

By the way, sort your workbench out, tidy it up man Rolling with laughter and put those axle stands away Wink 2006 L320 4.2 Supercharged
