First time I've heard this. You can get a cover for the spare wheel which might deter thieves but I don't think there is a way to stop this happening again. BTW it would be very difficult to nick the wheel unless the spare was put in the wrong way around. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

New one on me too. As long as the supporting cable is wound all the way back in, I'd have said it was virtually impossible to steal it though? |

Whoops... not a good week for you then generally. I hope Mrs Simonw gets the appropriate punishment (being hung upside down by the toenails usually does it) |

I thought we'd heard this on here before about the spare...? I followed a sport recently and noticed missing spare but all 4 alloys were fitted ( which voided the theory that he'd had a flat...) |

It's worth getting a missing spare reinstated asap, as it forms part of the cars rear crash protection |

Does that mean that a...wait for it.... LPG conversion using the spare wheel well is a no-no? |

I suppose so, yes... it's an interesting point that you raise actually. I've seen that they use the spare wheel cavity for the LPG tank in RRS conversions. I wonder what LRs stance is on that? And also, insurance companies? |

Unless like me he has a proper alloy as a spare, and after he changed his flat he put it in the boot, thats what i would do then let the garage fix it and put it back ubderneath ![]() -------------------------------- P38 Range Rover Autobiography RRS 2.7 HSE Silver RRS TDV8 HSE silver FFRR Vogue black Disco3 HSE silver RRS 2.7 HSE silver RRS 3.0 HSE BALTI BLUE ______________________________ current vehicles RRS 3.0 L494 Autobiography Audi R8 V10 Spyder AC Cobra Landrover Defender 90 Landrover Defender 110 Suzuki Jimney |
