Hi

The plastic claw that holds the cable underneath the lever on the inside of the car broke. So I've got a replacement cable mechanism FSE500031.

I've tried leaving the cable in place and just replacing the mechanism, but I think the cable has stretched and it pops back out due to a bit of slack.



So I need to replace the whole thing, but can anyone advise me how on earth the cable gets routed into the engine bay and the grommet can be fixed in place? It's impossible to see from within the footwell, it just disappears behind the wiring loom.

I've managed to use the existing cable. Popping it out of the clip, deep in the footwell seemed to allow it to glide smoothly and not get stuck and pop out.

If anyone does not how to replace the cable easily it would be good to know and probably be of help to others as I have searched here and disco3 forum with no joy.
