Failed Regens

If you permanently select that fairy tale of the dashboard (aka Instantaneous mpg) and lift off throttle to check it's reading 99** just before stopping at your destination, would it eliminate failed regens please?

**provided keep engine running if readings less than 99.

Interesting question...if a regen uses additional fuel and mpg is partly calculated by amount of fuel being injected....hmm

Watching.....

If I knew a regen was required or happening then generally I would extend my journey to include a fast run to promote/enhance that regen MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

Hello all

I have heard from a Discovery driver that the consumption will not fall to zero if a regen is ongoing. I am checking that point often but couldn't catch such situation..

Cheers

Did he not see reduction in the mpg ie from 99 to say 95??

What about revs??

Lo5s ppl say idle rev speed goes up when regen is taking place??

By how much? Is it noticeable? Ie from appeox 750 revs to say over 800rpm?
