2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Range Rover Sport Logic 7 Head unit

Right so theres these three threads about an issue:

But what I don't understand is, why can't I just use the existing amp and just keep the sound system the way it is, ie send audio to the amp and I assume it distributes it to the rest of the speakers? Why do I need an extra amp? Or is this because of the fibre optic magic?

Also has anyone found a head unit that fits without having to use the facia because it looks ugly as hell with it.

can I not just get an optic cable that satisfies the requirement?

You would need a new head unit that can communicate to the AMP in Land Rover speak which is very specific and I’ve not heard of any manufacturer doing that. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

just to check as well, the canbus system, does it control heating as well?
