Side step trims

Hi all

The side step trims on my 07 HSE are knackered, so I'm considering painting them.
How easy are they to remove without trashing them, or should I paint them in situ.

Anyone done this?

Thanks

Wwonder

There's plenty of stuff on this forum about this.

As a start, have a look at:

I just brought a new set of eBay for £90 left the old brackets on, changed them in 15mins job done.
The trim is riveted on by the way.

Hi Swatkins

I reckon it'll be just as easy to buy replacements, which I'll look into.
It'll look better than painting them myself anyway.

Thanks for your reply

Thats what i figured painting aluminium is always difficult.
By the time you factor in paint and materials costs time effort and the end result its a no brainer. Just seems a waste of the old ones.
