DAB going, going, gone?

Hi guys,

Local radio station I listen to on DAB, started on saturday while I was fitting my dash cam, started to intermittently loose reception. Then as I drove it last night, the station was on and off. Then today, it's totally gone, not even the station name. But stations further away seem.to still work even though they are further away.
Any known issues on DAB on 68 plate SVR?

Try disconnecting your dash cam first, see if it makes a difference

Hi ya,

Yeah will do. From memory the issue appeared before I had connected it but will try.
I have it all in EMC foil and ferrites fitted due to previous issues

the DAB radio on my 2016 isnt great either. Its good at BBC stations but doesnt want to pick up others.

it then loses signal far too quickly in areas where my previous car and my '57 Discovery 3 with a Pure plug in, wouldnt lose the signal.

I have tried the retune numerous times in different places and its still poor at best.

It reminds me of the time I had a new 5 series and the aerial wasnt even attached

It's weird but tonight, seems to have fixed itself. I am thinking it might be due to low battery. During the camera install, I started to get the low battery warnning. I noticed a few things, DAB reception was pants, interior light was no longer on with doors etc. After a long run to work, seems to be ok now. I wonder if the battery is low, a few systems are cut back to save the essential parts?
