L320 2.7 V6 going nuts. flashing, clicking, not starting.

RRS 2007 2.7 V6
Two days ago I took a clients RRS for it's annual test which it past but at one point when I had to stop and restert the engine I had a problem for a minuet but it did start.
Everything went well, new sticker and off back to client but when I reversed into the parking space all hell broke loose.
The hazards flashing, handbrake not working, not starting, suspension lowered, transmission fault on IP, IP lights all on, doors locking/unlocking several times.
I tried my Autel 619 reader, (which correctly identified the car as a 2007 L320 2.7 V6 etc.

stuck! and got three faults, regards the lack of communication, transmission fault and suspension. I cleared the codes, switched on and all hell broke loose again.
This afternoon I fitted a new battery as per spec and no change.
Tried banging the IP and touching positive battery lead to ground as this usually resets moduals but nope and then reconnected it, same,
stuck, not a happy client

So any help. please?

I'm definitely not an expert but is it worth trying the simple stuff first - the brake light switch has been known to cause all sorts of problems but is a simple and relatively cheap replacement. And rear brake light bulbs as well... Robin

As above...sounds mad but definately replace the brake light switch.... it’s poor quality and occasionally arcs across the contacts sending spurious messages back to the BCM.... this then throws a wobbly as it can’t compute the readings and throws everything into limp home mode...
You also get it with cheap light bulbs... the BCM realises there’s something reading against the defined parameters and does the same...

Have you checked the alternator voltage?, I had exactly the same symptoms as this around two weeks ago whilst driving on the M1 Motorway, doors started locking and unlocking and all the lights were going mad on the dash, gearbox went into fault and suspension self lowered.
I checked the voltage via the 753 code into the screen and only saw 11.5 volts, battery was shot and wouldn't accept a charge and the alternator was toast. I still don't know how this happened but I got my original alternator refurbed for £100 and bought a Lucas 800a battery for £110, once fitted I cleared the codes with a scan tool and the car has been fine since then, now running at around 14.5 volts and no Christmas lights. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

After all the wild guesses, thanks, it was a burnt out integrated transfer case. very close to setting the whole car alight, stupid place to put delicate electrics, under the scuttle, what were they thinking.
Replacement box off of ebay, now blue OEM plug and program, all OK.
