Hi there, new to the site and have a couple of questions Smile
Have a 2010 RRS 5l supercharged - just put new tyres in all round and although it was working ok the winch for the spare now won’t work once it has to weight bear - once you try to lift spare back into place. Any ideas .
Secondly we keep getting the low fuel message - even though it has plenty in the tank- having read through some previous posts it would seem it’s the sender unit - can I replace this myself ? How do you access it ?

Many thanks in advance .

Spare wheel winch is a common issue. (do not pull them up without weight on it).
Purchase a new one. There are various options available with different anti-theft mechinisums

Fuel tank needs lowered down to replace sensor. Do it when it's low on fuel.
Have a look at the tank cradle under the drivers side. If its very rusty around mounting bolts, you may want to replace it
2010 model should be ok

Thank you - new winch ordered Smile New sensor ordered - looks like a pig of a job to do at home ! Might need to look for an independent RR mechanic in Kent !

Is a low fuel message not a standard feature on a Supercharged model?!? Lol! Thumbs Up

Get some pics up - do love a Supercharged edition.
