Record mileage from a full tank??

Just before I traded the Supercharged in, I had an excellent run up and down the country and as the picture shows, beat my last maximum miles out of a tank. Not bad!

Yeah, I reckon it would have gone up to 360 if I had chanced it.

Watch this space for how many I can get out of a TD6 FFRR Vogue! L319 D4 HSE

350-360 miles on a tank? And I thought I was a girlie driver... Very Happy

After the first 2k miles I'm doing 17.8 mpg on average. Doesn't seem to vary that much, always around 310-320 miles on a tank.

Not that I care though Mr. Green

My first full tank of Diesel in the Vogue has returned an average overall of 25.2mpg and total miles of 553.4. Not all of that was motorway, about a quarter of it was short journeys and plenty of use of the FBH!

That was for 100 litres of fuel exactly. L319 D4 HSE

Looking back through my TD6 fuel records the best I got was 34.3mpg on the usual haul from Stirling to Southampton in Jan 2004. It was my first really long drive in the car I had to pull into a service area and refill as I thought the trip computer was telling fibs, but it wasn't. I put the fantastic mpg down to there being next to no wind and the temperature never got above 5c for the whole trip so the intercooler wasn't having to do much work to cool the charge air for the turbo. I never managed to repeat that figure but I did get it to 31.5 sat at 70 on the cruise on another trip south in the folloowing summer with the aircon blasting for the whole trip. One thing for sure there can be no better aircon in a Euroepean car than that in the FFRR, in addition to the indivuadual zone settings for left and right sides there is also a thumb wheel in the centre of the dash that sets the overall car inside temperature and the humidity inside as well. It can get you down to icicle forming temperatures can the FFRR climate control! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
