First time buyer- help and advice

New member here guys and just looking for some general advice about buying a RRS.

I am looking to upgrade my S3 Saloon to a family SUV and the RRS has caught my eye

I have found a few at Merv Hamman dealer which look very clean. The motor in particular is a RRS 2016 model, 3.0l diesal HSE Autobiography with 35k miles.

What is the general thoughts on such a motor, costs to run, potential issues and general pros and cons

Thanks very much

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up do you have a link to the Sport your looking at - is it an approved used Landrover dealership - is it advertised as a HSE Autobiography because there’s no such model ? Which probably means the dealer doesn’t know what they are selling Laughing
You are in the right place for anything & everything RRS - use the search function at the top of the page to help with any info your looking for. There will be plenty of positives & just as many negatives when purchasing a Sport but I’ve had 5 so take no notice of my posts Rolling with laughter it’s usually the dealerships that let me down Censored 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.
14MY Autobiography Dynamic - SDV6 - Fuji White Smile
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Santorini Black - Dual View - Rear Entertainment - Sunroof.
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Orkney Grey - awesome ;(
2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

Totally agree with Peachy, try to get a link so we can see it and read the description.

BUT

They are an expensive, luxury car and therefore have similar expensive running costs, I love mine and if you go down this road I hope you have the same experiences I have had.

It's a basic model with an Autobiography "design pack" (presumably they mean body kit). If you want an Autobiography then this isn't one. It should not have the Autobiography badge on the back, that's for sure.

The one in the advert is an HSE without the on-road/off-road pack (so no dynamic road mode or low range - you might not worry about the latter but the former really does make the RRS a much better drive when one wants to "press on"). Toy count will be well down on the AB spec.

I think I might walking away from that one on the basis that it's pretending to be something it isn't - what else is hidden / not done in the service history for example? There are plenty of RRS on the market so don't fall in love with the first one you see. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks mate, I genuinely am very naive with regards to what models are best and extras available.

What's the servicing intervals like and timing gear changes etc?

Also, economy? I know they won't be the best but I'm guessing on a par with my current S3

A few things stand out - it hasn’t got the normal Autobiography factory fitted standard equipment - heated steering wheel being one. I would say it’s a HSE with an exterior design pack. This then means the rear badging has been removed & then replaced with the red SPORT & Autobiography badges. I’ve never seen those alloys in gloss black but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist - they are usually HSE coloured sparkling silver. If you can get a VIN I will get you the full factory build spec. Without really laying the boot in the door looked a different colour in one pic - I’ve owned a Fuji white Sport & this often looked the case in different light. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Definitely fake autobiography.

It says AB design pack..which means colour coded bumpers as AB and badging.

Also tge seat trim design is another giveaway thst it is not an AB
