MY16 Diesel - 6 days at Stratstone Aylesbury for minor work

So booked my car in for the following issues..took 6 days to resolve:

1. Service Indicator counting down too quickly (service due indicating now when last service was May 2019 and 3k miles since)
- apparently known issue and not fixed during prior 2 x visits - remediation: 2 x Software updates apparently

2. Airbag warning light comes on intermittently - previously new wiring harness fixed under front drivers seat - remediation: another new harness fitted under front drivers seat

3. Unable to view oil level in dash - new oil level sensor installed - apparently this is a complex job and wheels seemed to have been removed

Managed to cope without a courtesy car (as they didn't have one) but realised how long these jobs take with the need to validate with warranty company, etc

Just hope the car is now stable for a couple of months - still love everything about it....

You're probably aware, but Stratstone Aylesbury closing down end of this month - staff moving to new Lookers Dealership in Aston Clinton - slightly closer to the A41 I gather.

My car is currently in stratstone teeside, been there 10 days now. They told me 3.

We got the most bog standard evoque you have ever seen for a curtesy. Better than nothing I suppose.

Do not expect any improvement with lookers.
They damaged my vehicle, parked it so you could not see the damage, denied doing the damage, called me a liar, and then took two attempts to repair it without causing more damage!

Until JLR gets a grip of its dealer network they are not going to make sensible progress.

Used Stratstone Aylesbury for last 3 years as had a 5 year service plan and each visit resulted in me making formal complaints to Dealer Principal and his bosses. Issues never resolved to my satisfaction so now use an indie just north of Aylesbury. There could not be a greater contrast between the two in all respects. So will not be visiting any Stratstone or Lookers any time soon. Also this experience with this main dealer has left me with very little appetite to buy a JLR product.

LR don't give two hoots about the dealership network or the customer experience once the vehicle is purchased. So long as there are enough mugs buying new vehicles, LR are happy. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Seems to be a shared consistent experience of poor service - I live in St Albans and the new Grange dealership is literally 5 mins from my home...having seen worse feedback about them, I don't go anywhere near.

Stratstone Aylesbury seems a lesser of two evils........I'm sadly linked to the dealer network for the warranty...

LR will never fix their issues and reputation until they get a handle on their dealer network - totally out of control...

Is the warranty the original 3 year one or the approved warranty? If the latter, you can go elsewhere with it as it's not run by LR at all. As indies are cheaper, warranty companies don't mind you using them. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

They won’t fix the countdown. They’ll mess about with it for months, saying they’ve done software updates, then claim that the way you drive it is causing oil dilution. It will need more frequent oil changes as a result. They may even pay for one of them! Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

I honestly didn't know that - its the 2 year used car warranty.

Heard good things about the Indy near Aylesbury - apparently there's a good one near me at Welwyn Garden City too

Thanks again

There's a good one in MK, and Buckingham way I think - a couple of good ones around northamptonshire, some good ones in hertfordshire.
IN simple terms there are far more good LR indie specialists than there are good dealers 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)
