Has anyone seen this:
Connect A Video Input Such As A DVD Player, TV Tuner, Reverse Backup Camera, Video Game Console, iPod Video or Other A/V Source To Your Land Rover LR3 - Range Rover Sport OEM GPS Navigation LCD Display Screen! G-NET TV Nav Video Modules Are Easy To Install, Activated For Video In Motion And Are Completely Plug & Play.

DVD player

Hi guys, im new on here just been looking through various topics and came accross this.

I have an 06 Sport and have had fitted a DVD player onto my front screen it was cheaper than the factory option and works just aswell. Had it fitted @ B & B audio in Cardiff. They used a product from a company called NAV TV as someone mentioned earlyer. It works a treat cost me about £800 for the lot. Well worth it in my eyes.

Anybody else had this done?

800 quid, but can you watch it while on the move Question i think that the whole DVD system ft and back only costs 2k with remote control and rear controls, but you cant watch the front screen while on the move Sad

I have factory fit dvds and i very rarely use it, i would if it was TV Thumbs Up

It's NavTV hack that allows you watch it on the move, I believe...

Hey guys, with an answer to your question yes it does work on the move and this weekend my mate is fitting screens in the headrest for £650 so it still works out cheaper than the factory option! Maybe better to!

Ok will let you know should be all in by tomorrow im having alpine touchscreens put in the back. It a good friend of mine doing it so its mates rates. But going back to the front screen that is well impresive you can activate the dvd player via the touch screen it brings up a DVD icon button thingy! But no control which is ok as i have a remote control!

Will keep you informed!

Has anybody else had this done then or anything remotely like it. Because I have been looking on forums for a while to find something like this and came accross nothing. Really surprised.

So does the alpine system interact with the RRS stock touchscreen? That is cool.
Do you retain RRS nav functionality etc?

What I would like is a NAV TV that automagically knew you were in reverse to switch on a rear mounted camera. 2022 P440e AB

Now that would be good and I did ask for it but not able to at the moment apparentely.

When I first looked into having the DVD player on the front screen it was suggested that I have an Alpine V-Hub system on to the NAV TV input which would then enable lots more products to be added but as I wanted to keep the cost down I just opted for the DVD as im a cheap skate and can only handle a certain amount of technology. hahahahahahaha.
