Just reading through some old threads on here, picking out bits of information and points to note. Came across one poster who was talking about having gearbox map done to smooth out the drive and remove the awkward delay when asking for power from a standstill.

Is this a ‘thing’ I have read about people remapping engine but not read anything apart from this about the gearbox - any input or experience on this, is it worth doing on its own or in conjunction with an engine map. I must be honest I wasn’t planning to have the engine mapped so if there is benefit to be had from just doing gearbox then I may well do some more reading up on it.
