Annoying bongs

L320 2005. Is it possible to disable the bongs when the doors are open and the key is in ignition?

there is a CCF option, but it has no effect.
I was told it needed a software update to stop it

Where does the sound come from? Is there a little speaker somewhere.

In the back of the dash.

but you will also loose all the sounds you do want to hear. indicators etc
