Wrangler Duratrac

Greetings,

One for people running Wrangler Duratracs...

I've probably run the WDs on my car for about 5,000 miles. But ... when I turn slightly off the straight-ahead position there is a noise I can only describe as a 'high frequency rasping' from the front of the car. Does anyone else have this?

They are at the correct pressures. The tread is in good nick. The wheel-bearings are fine. Gets louder with increasing speed. Nothing rubbing on the tyres. The car went through its MoT (twice) last week.

Cheers,

Hugh

Power-steering... Confused

I set up an audio spectrometry app on my phone and checked at 30, 40 & 50 mph. Same frequency at different speeds, therefore nothing to do with the tyres. P/S reservoir is vibrating like mad.

(The noise is the bright bit in the screenshot below, coming and going as I turn the wheel)

Ooh, fancy gadget time! Cool

Name of the app please? Looks like something that might be useful to have. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
