Hi

Managed to get the old compressor off. I had to cut the two pipes as the collars would not push in to release.

I've cut them further up instead of near the end so I can put a straigh through connector in.

Can anyone advise/share link for suitable connectors to get to connect the pipes together?

I'm going to try and take the compressor apart before ordering a repair kit, in case some of the screws and bolts bust when trying to take apart. Will bite the bullet and get a new compressor if that happens.

Look on eBay,, lots of push fit pipe connectors with the retaining collar. The type you have indicated are internal push fit for soft or flexible tubing, I doubt very much they would fit on the compressor Pipes as it is the harder pvc type.,, and no retaining device.

Search for pneumatic push fit connector 2010 RRS, TDV8

The repair kit is pretty straight forward, but goodness, almost every screw is corroded. Soaking the lot in PlusGas and hoping for the best.

Would you advise replacing the relay too?

I had to do the same on my compressor - these are just low pressure pipes - one is air intake and the other air exhaust.

I just got some short 4" long fuel pipe and use them as connectors - just fed the ends of the original cut pipes into the short fuel pipe - just make sure they are a tight fit so water cannot get in - the two original pipes are different diameters so different diameter fuel pipe in needed.

I have had this arrangement for 6 years and never been an issue - also makes it easy to remove the compressor later when it is time to do a rebuild.

Just got to get the thing apart at the moment.
It seems that 2 fixings are seized for every one that will turn.
The screw head holding the air dryer on seems to be made out of butter.

I'll change the filters and dessicant with it in situ.

Might have to drill 2 of the bolts holding the compressor to the frame off though.
