Centre console/cooler area removal

Guys,

Looking to see if anyone knows the best way to remove the trim or surrounding area around the AUX cable?

I want to run an AUX lead down and along the side of the console in behind the plastic to behind the glove box but don't want the cable showing coming out the side...is there an easy way or has anyone tried this?
