Thanks Jaggs - I'll be using a plug-in adaptor for now, I just thought I'd investigate the swap as an option since virtually all of my towing will be with 13-pin for my caravan |

you want the 13 pin if your caravan has the anti sway fitted so it will work |

I bought a 13 pin kit from Dan @ Duckworths. I didn’t realise my car had the 12n&s electrics already fitted (I put a deposit on the car, and knowing I was going to be using it for towing I ordered the electrics before I actually had the car) All I did was change the lower half of the loom, and it all works fine! |

Assuming you're referring to the Alko ATC system? I did some searching on here and found reference to others who have working ATC from the twin-electrics (but not single due to the lack of permanent live); so I think I'm ok on that front. Of course, I can easily test this in the drive before I actually tow anywhere - I'll try to remember to post back here to confirm one way or the other. |

Thank you PhilMid, that's ideal. I'll check the cost and check whether the ATC works on the twins before I decide to do anything, but its good to know I have the option. |

When I had my RRS1 2012 I had 7 pin electrics fitted but when I got the caravan (my friend who owns a Towbar company) fitted 13 pin electrics for the atc system to work.
